As a runner and fitness blogger in Delhi, I often wonder if I can take off multiple layers and run in a sports bra in hot weather.
This seems to be a radical idea.
We are used to seeing bras as underwear, although women around the world use sports bras to run.
So Nikita Seth and I decided to do this sensitive and alternative experiment on the road in Delhi, not through blogs or videos, but actually running in a sports bra.
It is as hard a rope as it is in the mind, but if no one else stands up, we decide to go alone.
We must try to convey our true message: female runners can run in their most comfortable way on Delhi roads.
It\'s not about women\'s liberation, it\'s not about making running sexy.
It is to get rid of taboos and break taboos.
So we call it the shed where it runs.
Women in New Delhi ran to \"vacation\" on the night we picked the date, set the route, setting out a list of 40 female runners.
We asked our male runners to support us.
Ravinder Singh, coach of NCR\'s most trusted running event organizer, advised us to keep the event confidential on social media to avoid negative publicity.
We know that this message will be stronger after it runs smoothly.
There are roadblocks, as expected.
Women who speak out on social media call it meaningless.
Some say they have to get the consent of their family or husband.
Some say they lack the confidence to run in a sports bra, while some are not sure if this will affect their image in the workplace.
But everyone agrees that running in a sports bra in hot weather is something they all aspire to do.
One morning in August, 5.
Outside Nehru Park, we met 13 running girls in sports bras.
We ran two laps together.
7 km in the park, after overcoming the initial restrictions, we decided to go on the road and finally experience Delhi in person.
On the way, we met ordinary female runners who laughed when they saw us.
Garima Dhamija, who is running, threw away her T-shirt and joined us!
From the response and success of this event --
No unpleasant events.
Together, we realize that our bodies are not perfect but strong.
We may not be able to do such things alone, but there are many things that are possible together.
The shed where it runs has a bigger message: get rid of your depression --
Those who are holding you back from doing what you really want to do.
Freedom is to do what you like to do.
It\'s happy to like what you do, and there\'s a lot to learn, understand and explore between the two.
