INGOR Sportswear Manufacturer | I Made Your Clothes

“I Made Your Clothes” - did you see these photos of workers holding such posters with this statement written on it? We are sure you did - just somewhere over the internet or via social media. If not, no problem: We just wanna tell you what’s it all about.

These photos come from the special non-profit organization “Fashion Revolution”. But before explaining what they are doing we want you to know how it all started.

INGOR Sportswear Manufacturer | I Made Your Clothes 1

It was 2013 in Bangladesh, when a terrible thing happened: Rana Plaza collapsed. Who was Rana Plaza, or better asked: what was it? This building housed some very famous, big and small, fast fashion brands. The collapse was a disaster which was covered widely by the media all over the world.

And it showed clearly: The working conditions within the garment industry are far more than a serious issue. It is a deep black, dirty hole which has to be cleared up and which needs new answers and new solutions from ALL who are involved in this industry: from designers to consumers to factory owners, suppliers or the brands itself!

The common goal must be: GREATER TRANSPARENCY WITHIN THE GARMENT INDUSTRY, ESPECIALLY FASHION!

This was the moment FASHION REVOLUTION was born. The goal of the non-profit: the fashion industry needs to change - in a big way.

But before such a change can happen, the people / the customers need to know things like:

Who actually makes my products which I buy?

What are the working conditions?

Who stands behind a brand?

How are the people being treated there?

How much do they really give about the environment, fair trade materials and so on?

And what human rights organizations tell us about them?

To get and to give all these answers the non-profit created a significant tool: The hashtag #WhoMadeMyClothes was born and became the symbol of the fight of Fashion Revolution.

With this hashtag they began questioning brands directly about their practices.

The good thing: this hashtag spread quickly around the globe and is still used permanently to tell the people: Think about what you wear and where it does come from!

Also we from INGOR Sportswear manufacturer are more than aware of the problems which are caused by fast fashion trends around the globe. That’s why we are part of the movement #WhoMadeMyClothes.

Also, we are very proud (and therefore love to tell you) where our fabrics come from, who our supplier is and why we are keen to campaign for a clean, safe, fair, transparent and accountable fashion industry.
