A hunt has been launched for those stealing dog thieves who "talk" with pooch --

Officials investigating the attempted theft of smart dogs near Royston are calling for information and witnesses.
The incident took place in barley pudding Lane from two o'clock P. M. to 2.

When the two men approached the dog, it crossed off the lead.
The men bent down to talk to the animal, then picked it up and began to run.
However, as the two continued running along Pudding Lane, the dog slipped out of the seat belt and managed to run back to the owner.
The first suspect is described as white, between 5ft in height and 5ft 10 in height, slim in shape.
He was wearing jeans in a gray hoodie.
The second suspect is also described as white, between 5ft in height and 5ft 10 in height, slim in shape.
He was wearing jeans and a blue hoodie.
PSCO Chris Brabrook, from the Royston rural community team, said: "This type of event is very unusual, but we will urge dog owners to pay attention when walking dogs in public areas.
