Tabitha Simmons, Derick ChettyShoe designer, has an enviable life and career in Super fashion.
First of all, the beautiful former model is the stylist of Vogue, who also designs fashion shows for top designers such as Marchesa in New York and Dolce & Gabbana in Milan.
She lives in a great five.
Chelsea\'s story townhouse, along with her two sons and the husband of fashion photographer Craig mcintin.
In addition to her busy resume, she has also designed a series of whimsical girl shoes, many of which are handmade
Embroidered silk from a British company that makes silk for the Queen\'s coach.
The most important thing is that Simmons is very charming, and almost all the sentences are full of laughter.
Recently, when she met with Holt Lenford staff in Toronto, I sat down and talked to Simmons about her career.
Q: You have tried a lot of things, including learning about the design, styling and styling of the movie set.
Why are you designing shoes?
A: When I was 14 years old, I worked in a shoe store on Saturday, so I was always enthusiastic about shoes.
When I start working with designers like Calvin Klein, I go from choosing leather, sketches to finally holding it in my hands to see how the shoes are made.
I was shocked by many stages for such a small matter.
I like the process.
Q: What do you think women today want to do with a pair of shoes?
She wants a lot of things.
She wants something feminine, comfortable, stylish, and functional at the same time.
Because women\'s lives are busy, they need a pair of functional shoes that look good.
Q: Many famous shoe designers are male and one of their criticisms is that they don\'t have to wear shoes, so comfort never seems to be a factor in their design process.
As a female designer of shoes, what did you bring?
A: I try to test them every day and walk and play a role in them.
I had to take my children to school in the morning, then I went to work, stood in the studio for a long time, and then went home to help the children with their homework.
Maybe I will kick them out and let them go back to the fashion event at night.
Not only do you look like a million dollars as a female designer, but you also know its features.
Q: footwear styles are often a reflection of the times.
What does your design think of today\'s society?
A: Women do A lot of other things today.
I think my shoes create a way of life.
It\'s not just fashion in the strict sense.
I hope my shoes are eternal.
I came from an editorial point of view, so I wanted to give something that it would be OK to put it on in three years.
Q: How many shoes do you have?
A: There are about 400 pairs, mainly in the warehouse.
At home I have a very edited wardrobe because I think it gets very confusing if you have too many things in your home and you don\'t know what you have, you ended up wearing jeans and T-shirts.
Because you can\'t face the shirt that enters your wardrobe.
Q: Your husband also works in fashion.
Will he give you advice when it comes to your design?
What he\'s going to say is nonsense, or that\'s terrible.
He is very outspoken and I love him for that, because you need to do that sometimes.
Q: Is there any plan for the men\'s series?
Many people I know have asked.
I haven\'t thought about it yet.
You are a hard person to please.
I will be scared to be a man\'s line.
